Power-Only Shipping Services
Power-only trucking happens when a carrier provides only a driver and a tractor. Since the driver and truck do not come accompanied by a trailer, they instead hook up to and haul a trailer owned and operated by a a third-party logistics company or shipper. The trailer is provided by the shipper, a third-party logistics company or, sometimes, through a lease option. In many cases, the power-only trucking option provides a convenient solution for shippers who either own or lease the fleet of trailers they use to move outbound freight.
